Challenge:
As one of Europe’s fastest-growing sleep brands, Emma needed to strengthen its emotional brand connection beyond performance marketing, to move from “smart product” to “daily life enabler.”
The challenge: how do you tell a story about sleep without showing sleep?
The campaign had to visualize that a great day doesn’t start in the morning, it starts the night before.
Idea:
The creative concept connected energy, emotion, and routine through a simple insight:
”A great day starts with a great night’s sleep.”
For Germany, the campaign told the story backwards, starting from the end of a perfect day and rewinding all the way to the moment of waking up.
The narrative metaphor: “Dein Tag, powered by Emma.”
Because everything that happens in your day, focus, laughter, energy is powered by the rest you got the night before.
For the UK, the idea evolved into a confident, lifestyle-driven expression:
“Start every day with an award-winning wake-up.”
The tone was upbeat and modern — combining British wit with the same brand truth: Emma doesn’t just sell better sleep; it fuels better days.
Both films shared one universal brand message:
Good sleep isn’t the end of your day. It’s the beginning of everything that follows.
Execution:
Two TV campaigns were developed and produced for Germany and the UK, supported by digital cutdowns and social video extensions.
The German film visualized the day in reverse motion, a single continuous shot moving backwards through everyday moments, culminating in a peaceful morning scene.
The UK version focused on the feel-good energy after waking, real people, authentic smiles, and Emma’s brand promise wrapped in optimism and simplicity.
Both productions were aligned in look, music, and tone, clean, relatable, emotionally warm, and unmistakably Emma.
